Last month, the KBS student council organized a clothing and toy drive to encourage student and parent world citizenship. The response was incredible! Parents, students and teachers dropped off bags of clothing shoes and toys. Tuesday, December 20 was a special day, around 500 students and many teachers participated in this event to KBS appreciation to 16 staff members at our school who are in charge of cleaning and guarding and other services. On Wednesday, December 21st during the morning routine the collected money was given to the employees to thank them on behalf of our students, teachers and parents. ....

As part of the book month from mid-November to the last week, Kuwait Bilingual School held 'a masked character a day' program during the morning routine time every day. This annual conference for educators of private schools in Kuwait, was organized by ACA this year on Saturday, December 10. Twenty seven major private schools participated in the conference, that meant over 1400 teachers and 200 workshops presented by the teachers to the teachers. KBS participated in the conference with about 75 teachers and presented 7 successful workshops. A display of major publishing company were present. The conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences among teachers and schools in Kuwait....

Dear parents
We have complains from some parents about not being able to receive sms messages from the school on their mobile phones. After reviewing the matter with the sms provider company, they informed us that in most cases mobile phones where the media/ads sms is disabled will not be able to receive sms messages from the school. Therefore we would like to ask you all to make sure that your mobile phone is set to accept media/ads sms.

International Inventors Fair

On Tuesday, November 22, all students from grades 7-9 visited the Fourth International Inventors Fair organized by the science club, in Al Zahraa Area. Almost 150 inventors exhibited their inventions and each inventor explained to the students his invention, this is a wonderful opportunity for our student to meet so many scientists from all over the world.

Trip to the Scientific Centre
|
|
Grade 4 recently took a trip to the Scientific Centre to watch 3D movie 'Born to be Wild' at the IMAX cinema. We all thoroughly enjoyed the movie and had a relaxing time sat by the water having our lunch and ice cream. The movie linked with grade 4's PYP focus on endangered animals and what we could do to help protect them and their natural habitats.

Fun was had by all on Crazy Hat Day! The kids really enjoyed being creative with their hats and smiles of joy were on every child's face as you can see in the pictures. We also honored the students who had perfect attendance!!!
